چکیده

Abstract Background TERMINAL FLOWER 1 ( TFL1 ) belongs to the phosphatidylethanolamine-binding protein (PEBP) family, which is involved in inflorescence meristem development and represses flowering several plant species. In present study, four genes were cloned from mango Mangifera indica L.) variety ‘SiJiMi’ named MiTFL1-1 , MiTFL1-2 MiTFL1-3 MiTFL1-4 . Results Sequence analysis showed that encoded MiTFL1 proteins contained a conserved PEBP domain belonged group. Expression expressed not only vegetative organs but also reproductive expression levels related floral development. Overexpression of delayed transgenic Arabidopsis Additionally, changed flower morphology some plants. Yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) stress-related interacted with proteins. Conclusions The exhibited similar pattern, overexpression resulted flowering. affected organ Furthermore, could interact bHLH 14 - 3-3 These results indicate may play an important role process mango.

Overexpression of PvGF14c from Phyllostachys violascens Delays Flowering Time in Transgenic Arabidopsis

14-3-3 Proteins are a family of highly conserved regulatory molecules expressed in all eukaryotic cells and regulate a diverse set of biological responses in plants. However, their functions in flowering of Phyllostachys violascens are poorly understood. In this study, four non-𝜀 Pv14-3-3 genes from P. violascens were identified and named PvGF14b, PvGF14c, PvGF14e, and PvGF14f. qRT-PCR analyses...

Overexpression of PvPin1, a Bamboo Homolog of PIN1-Type Parvulin 1, Delays Flowering Time in Transgenic Arabidopsis and Rice

Because of the long and unpredictable flowering period in bamboo, the molecular mechanism of bamboo flowering is unclear. Recent study showed that Arabidopsis PIN1-type parvulin 1 (Pin1At) is an important floral activator and regulates floral transition by facilitating the cis/trans isomerization of the phosphorylated Ser/Thr residues preceding proline motifs in suppressor of overexpression of ...

Overexpression of Two PsnAP1 Genes from Populus simonii × P. nigra Causes Early Flowering in Transgenic Tobacco and Arabidopsis

In Arabidopsis, AP1 is a floral meristem identity gene and plays an important role in floral organ development. In this study, PsnAP1-1 and PsnAP1-2 were isolated from the male reproductive buds of poplar (Populus simonii × P. nigra), which are the orthologs of AP1 in Arabidopsis, by sequence analysis. Northern blot and qRT-PCR analysis showed that PsnAP1-1 and PsnAP1-2 exhibited high expressio...

Different roles of flowering-time genes in the activation of floral initiation genes in Arabidopsis.

We have analyzed double mutants that combine late-flowering mutations at four flowering-time loci (FVE, FPA, FWA, and FT) with mutations at the LEAFY (LFY), APETALA1 (AP1), and TERMINAL FLOWER1 (TFL1) loci involved in the floral initiation process (FLIP). Double mutants between ft-1 or fwa-1 and lfy-6 completely lack flowerlike structures, indicating that both FWA and FT act redundantly with LF...

A Novel Role for Banana MaASR in the Regulation of Flowering Time in Transgenic Arabidopsis

The abscisic acid (ABA)-, stress-, and ripening-induced (ASR) protein is a plant-specific hydrophilic transcriptional factor involved in fruit ripening and the abiotic stress response. To date, there have been no studies on the role of ASR genes in delayed flowering time. Here, we found that the ASR from banana, designated as MaASR, was preferentially expressed in the banana female flowers from...
